The largest number of Te Wakans ever (34) represented Queensland in Junior, Premier & Masters categories in the State v State Day on Thursday 22nd April. It proved to be a very successful campaign!
Our Men’s, Women’s & Mixed teams competed in three distances over the three days of club crew racing;
· Friday 23rd April 200 metres
· Saturday 24th April 500 metres
· Sunday 25th April 2000 metres
Our Mixed Team gained enough points over the Championships to qualify for the World Club Crew Championship to be held in Macau, China in late July.
Two of our Juniors competed in the Club Championship in a combined team with Broadwater Dragons and came home with Silver Medals. We are very proud of our boys for this fine achievement!
